Element

Graphical User Interface - GUI. This tool allows user to comfortably set up, solve and analyze the problem. See the screenshots section.

Element contains built-in pre and post-processor. Solvers are executed as child processes and they are designed as plugin modules. This means that Element allows the user to use existing solver modules along with Element.

With Element’s modern GUI, the user can set up a simulation of various physical models applicable in engineering, science, etc.

Steps to set-up, run and analyze:

  1. Load the model
  2. Edit or repair geometry
  3. Generate mesh (if necessary)
  4. Apply boundary conditions, initial conditions, material properties, time stepping, convergence criteria, etc.
  5. Display and analyze the results

Element is a very flexible tool, which gives the user a lot of freedom.

  • Working with more than one model simultaneously.
  • Combines different types of elements.
  • Apply variable materials on one or more models.
  • Coupled simulations.
  • Creation of custom variables from computed ones.

Supported elements:

  • 0D - point
  • 1D -segment (line)
  • 2D - facet (triangle)
  • 3D - tetrahedra
